Harrow Team Targets High-Harm Offenders with 11 Arrests in Two Weeks A dedicated police team focused on locating and arresting Harrow’s most wanted and highest-risk offenders has delivered significant results, securing 11 arrests in just two weeks and helping to protect communities across the borough.
The Proactive Arrest Car team was established to provide a targeted response to offenders who pose the greatest threat to public safety. Using intelligence-led patrols and focused enquiries, officers work to identify, locate and arrest individuals linked to serious criminality, outstanding warrants and offences involving vulnerable victims.
During the past fortnight, the team arrested a number of prolific and high-risk offenders wanted for offences including harassment, stalking, coercive and controlling behaviour, witness intimidation, immigration offences and outstanding warrants.
Among the most notable arrests were suspects linked to serious offences including grievous bodily harm (GBH), kidnapping and serious sexual assaults. By locating and detaining these individuals, officers have helped prevent further offending, support ongoing investigations and reduce the risk of harm within the community. The team's activity has also delivered important safeguarding benefits, providing protection and reassurance to victims while demonstrating a clear commitment to tackling those who cause the greatest harm.
Sergeant Alex Rose said: "The Proactive Arrest Car team exists to focus relentlessly on those who pose the highest risk to our communities. Every arrest represents an opportunity to protect victims, prevent further harm and bring offenders to justice. These results show the value of having dedicated officers who can act quickly and decisively to target those wanted for serious offences and make Harrow a safer place for everyone."
The unit has also recently welcomed a new officer, further strengthening its ability to identify and apprehend offenders across the borough.
With 11 arrests in just two weeks, the Proactive Arrest Car team continues to demonstrate the value of targeted, proactive policing. By focusing resources on those who present the greatest threat to public safety, officers are reducing crime, protecting vulnerable people and providing reassurance to residents.
